The Episcopal Church Women (
ECW) exists to deepen and nurture the spiritual life of the
church women through worship of God, glorification of Christ,
presentation of Christ to the world, and to enlist their active
participation in ministering to people inside and outside the
church. ECW
is affiliated with the
ECW, Diocese of Lousiana, and meets the second Saturday of
each month at 11:00 a.m. in Comfort Hall. New officers are elected
each April.
A dedicated group of individuals within the ECW, known as the Marthas,
come to the aid of their fellow parishioners during times of need.
Whether the need be due to the death or illness of a loved one or
the birth of a new family member, the Marthas provide meals to ease
some of the burdens during such hectic times.
The Benevolence Committee of the ECW is a group of women
who assist families with funerals at the church. They coordinate and
host funeral receptions in Comfort Hall and/or deliver food
offerings to the home.
