Christian Education Summer 2010

Pre-K through Fifth Grade
Sunday mornings, 10am through to the Peace at the 10:30 service.
Sixth through Twelfth Grades
will be merged with the Episcopal Youth Community (EYC), Alternate Tuesdays, 6:00 to 8:00p.m. .
Confirmation Class
Sunday Mornings at 9:30.

Acolytes Needed!

We are in need of acolytes between the ages of 10 and 18 (and their parants) who are willing to commit to a montly service at 8am or 10:20am. All events are rotaed monthly and your schedule can be accomodated. If interested, please contact the church office by e-mail or phone at 985-643-4531.

Our food bank

is always finding need. Please remember the food bags on your next trip to the grocery store. Christ Church distributes approximately two to three bags of much needed food per week. Monetary donations for the food bank are also appreciated. See the list of contents for the bags.

Don't forget your pledge

when you go out of town this summer! You can mail your pledge to the church office (address at the bottom of our home page ) if you'll be out of town for a few weeks.

Do you have time to lend a hand? Help Christ Church continue to make a difference in John and Marky Stevenson's lives! If you have a few hours to spare during the week, John conitinues to need daytime companions to lend a hand and make sure that all is well. Please sign up on the volunteer calendar located on the table by the phone in Comfort Hall.

Prayer Vigil for those being confirmed and received, and for the life of Christ Church, the community, and the world. We will be praying in one-hour watches beginning at 3:50 Tuesday Evening and continuing until 6:30 Wednesday evening.
The Men's Club meets monthly in Comfort Hall. Fellowship at 6:30, Dinner at 7:00. Dinner is $5.00. Drinks are $1.00 , 6:30pm

The Rt. Rev. Morris Thompson, Bishop of the Diocese of Louisiana , will Lay Hands on those Confirming or Reaffirming their Baptismal vows, as well as those being Received into the Episcopal Church. Those wishing to participate should contact the church office by Tuesday, 20 July and attend the meeting between the services on Sunday, 25 July. , 7:00pm

Holy Eucharist , Rite I . There is usually organ accompaniment for the hymns and service music, but no choir. The nursery is usually NOT available for this service , 8:00am
Pancake Breakfast , hosted by the Men's Club in Comfort Hall. All the pancakes you care to eat, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit kabobs, orange juice, and coffee for just $5.00 per person. Proceeds support sending our youth to Camp Hardtner, the annual Parish Picnic, and other Men's club sponsored events. , 8:45am

The Choir practices in the Sanctuary , 9:30am
