Christian Education Summer 2010

Pre-K through Fifth Grade: Sunday mornings, 10am through to the Peace at the 10:30 service.
Sixth through Twelfth Grades: will be merged with the Episcopal Youth Community (EYC), Alternate Tuesdays, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m..
Confirmation Class: Sunday Mornings at 9:30.

Acolytes Needed!

We are in need of acolytes between the ages of 10 and 18 (and their parants) who are willing to commit to a montly service at 8am or 10:20am. All events are rotaed monthly and your schedule can be accomodated. If interested, please contact the church office by e-mail or phone at 985-643-4531.

Our food bank

is always finding need. Please remember the food bags on your next trip to the grocery store. Christ Church distributes approximately two to three bags of much needed food per week. Monetary donations for the food bank are also appreciated. See the list of contents for the bags.

Don't forget your pledge

when you go out of town this summer! You can mail your pledge to the church office (address at the bottom of our home page ) if you'll be out of town for a few weeks.

Do you have time to lend a hand? Help Christ Church continue to make a difference in John and Marky Stevenson's lives! If you have a few hours to spare during the week, John conitinues to need daytime companions to lend a hand and make sure that all is well. Please sign up on the volunteer calendar located on the table by the phone in Comfort Hall.

The nursery is usually NOT available for this service , 8:00am; The Nursery is open, 9:00 to noon , 9:00am; The Choir practices in the Sanctuary , 9:30am; Class for those wishing to be Confirmed, Received, or to Reaffirm their Baptismal vows on Wednesday, Sept 8th , 9:30am; Holy Eucharist , Rite II . Nursery available , 10:30am; Hospitality Hour Join us following the 10:30 Eucharist for coffee, punch, snacks, and conversation , 11:45am
Mon, Sep 6: Boy Scouts troop 98 meets in Comfort Hall , 6:30pm
Tue, Sep 7: The Men's Club meets monthly in Comfort Hall. Fellowship at 6:30, Dinner at 7:00. Dinner is $5.00. Drinks are $1.00 , 6:30pm
Wed, Sep 8: Bible Study in the Morgan Library , 10:00am; English as a Second Language Classes in Wheeler House , 6:00pm; Choir Rehearsal , in the sanctuary , 7:00pm; The Rt. Rev. Morris Thompson, Bishop of the Diocese of Louisiana , will Lay Hands on those Confirming or Reaffirming their Baptismal vows, as well as those being Received into the Episcopal Church. Those wishing to participate should contact the church office by Tuesday, 20 July and attend the meeting between the services on Sunday, 25 July. , 7:00pm
